Champions League: Phil Foden’s Top-corner Strike Earns 3-3 Draw for Man City Against Real Madrid

Phil Foden did well in the exciting Champions League quarter-final match between Manchester City and Real Madrid. The game ended in a draw, with both teams scoring three goals each at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Foden’s fantastic goal, hitting the ball into the top corner of the net, was the match’s highlight. This goal brought Manchester City level with Real Madrid at 2-2 during the second half of the game.

Both teams must play again at the Etihad Stadium on April 17th to see who will move forward in the tournament.

However, Manchester City can feel good because they have played well at home in the Champions League. They have beaten Madrid by scoring four goals in the last two seasons.

Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, Manchester City hasn’t lost a game in their last 30 home Champions League matches, returning to 2018.

Even though City won 4-3 against Madrid two years ago in the semi-finals, it wasn’t enough because Madrid made an incredible comeback in the second leg and won their 14th European title.

But City had their revenge last season by defeating Madrid 4-0, which was a very proud moment during Guardiola’s successful eight-year tenure as their manager.

Many expected a closer match this season because Jude Bellingham had a fantastic first season in Spain.

Even though he had the chance to go back to England and play for big teams like City and others, he chose to stay in Spain and become a favorite among Real Madrid fans.

However, lately, Bellingham hasn’t scored as many goals as before, while Phil Foden from Manchester City has been playing well in 2024.
