If you’re still using the first AirPods Pro or older AirPods, there are some cool new features and improvements you can enjoy. We’ve listed six important new things and improvements that the second-generation AirPods Pro brings compared to the older ones. Keep reading to find out more!

Improved Active Noise Cancellation

In the latest AirPods Pro, they’ve taken something from the first-generation model and made it even better. The new AirPods Pro now have Active Noise Cancellation that’s up to 2 times more effective. This means when you use Active Noise Cancellation, you’ll hear even less background noise, thanks to better microphones, a new speaker, and smarter technology.

Enhanced Sound Quality with Deeper Bass

The new AirPods Pro have a special speaker and amplifier inside, and the team up with the H2 chip to give you music, videos, and other sounds with less fuzziness, deeper bass, and really clear high notes. Plus, the H2 chip is super fast and uses a smart trick to make the sound fit your ears perfectly, so it sounds really, really good.

Smart Transparency Mode

Besides the noise-canceling feature, AirPods Pro also have something called Transparency Mode, where special microphones help you hear what’s happening around you. In the second-generation AirPods Pro, this gets even better with Adaptive Transparency Mode. It can turn down really loud noises like sirens and power tools but still lets you hear everything else.

Improved ear detection

The first AirPods Pro had sensors to know when you put them in your ears using light. Now, just like the third-generation AirPods, the new AirPods Pro have sensors that can feel your skin. This makes them even better at knowing when they’re in your ears, improves their battery life, and stops them from turning on by accident in your bag or pocket.

Improved battery life

The new AirPods Pro 2 can play music with Active Noise Cancellation for up to six hours, which is one and a half hours longer than the old ones. Plus, if you use the new MagSafe Charging Case, you can get up to 30 hours of music time with Active Noise Cancellation, which is six hours more than before.

Speaker case with Lanyard Loop and Find My support

The fresh AirPods Pro comes with a new MagSafe Charging Case. This case has a little speaker inside to make finding your AirPods easier with the Find My feature. It also supports Precision Tracking, and you can attach a lanyard to it for easy carrying. Not just with Lightning and MagSafe chargers, but now you can also charge this new case using an Apple Watch charger.
