Discover What Makes iPhone 15 Different: New Things It Can Do!

iphone15

The new iPhone 15 will be in stores soon, but some Apple fans are wondering if it’s worth upgrading from their current phones.

When you look at the iPhone 15 for the first time, it might seem like it has a lot in common with the older, cheaper models. But this new version has some neat features that could really change how people use their phones.

Let’s check out a few things that the iPhone 15 can do that your old iPhone can’t.

Faster charging with USB-C

The iPhone 15 will have a Type-C charging port, just like the one used in Samsung Galaxy and other Android phones. This change was made because the European Union decided that all phones and devices sold in Europe must have a USB Type-C charging port by the end of 2024.

This change isn’t just about making the charging port more common; it also brings speed benefits. USB-C chargers can charge your phone much faster than Apple’s Lightning cable, and they use the same voltage. Plus, unlike Apple’s special Lightning cable, you can use a USB-C connector with devices that aren’t made by Apple.

Phone or WiFi is not needed to call AAA

With the new Roadside Assistance feature on the iPhone 15, you can get help from AAA if your car breaks down, even if you’re in a remote area without cell service or Wi-Fi. This feature uses satellites to let AAA message you and find your exact location for assistance, as Apple explained when they introduced it. When you need help, a short questionnaire pops up on your screen to help AAA understand what you need.

If you buy a new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max, you get two years of free access to Roadside Assistance, according to Apple’s website. If you’re not an AAA member, you can still use the service, and you’ll have to pay separately for it.

5x zoom

The iPhone 15 has the best zooming abilities ever seen in an Apple phone, as Apple claims.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a special camera that can zoom in up to 5 times, the most of any iPhone. The regular Pro version can zoom in 3 times, just like the iPhone 14 Pro.

When it comes to digital zoom, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can go as far as 25 times, and the Pro version can zoom in up to 15 times.

Now, optical zoom means using the camera’s lens to make things bigger in the picture, while digital zoom is about making things larger by cropping the photo after you take it.

Better portraits

With the iPhone 15, it’s smart enough to notice when a person or even a pet appears in your camera view. It collects information about the depth in your photos, so you can transform them into cool portrait-style pictures later, even after your subject has left the shot. You can do this using the Photo app.

Plus, this new portrait mode makes your photos look even better with sharper details, and brighter colours, and it works well in low light, according to what Apple says.
