Mali also had a great start in their first game of the group round, beating Uzbekistan 3-0. It took a little while for Mali to get going, but once they did, they won easily. Mamadou Doumbia scored the first goal in the 30th minute with an assist from Ibrahim Diarra. His second goal came in the 72nd minute, and then he scored again just three minutes later. Both of these goals were without assists. This put the game far out of reach for Uzbekistan.

Right now, Mali is leading Group B, just one goal ahead of Spain, which is in second place. Canada is third, and Uzbekistan is at the bottom.
